Add Elements to Increase Impact
The original photograph was all right as far as it went. Exposure had been kept short to make a silhouette. Evenso I thought more points of interest could be added.
- The chain was also photographed from very low down and positioned to suit the crane.
- The chain layer was duplicated twice and given different amounts of Motion Blur to give it the effect of moving and swinging.
When creating a composite image, it's important to take plenty of trouble choosing angles and perspectives that are going to be compatible with each other. Without that, the result can look strange and distorted.
