Learn to Photoshop How it was done
Passing a reservoir during a severe drought, a water depth of 35 metres had become dried, cracked mud. In some areas, green shoots were even starting to sprout. - Three photographs of the cracked mud were used. The images were joined, rotated, joined and patched to make a large area.
- The top portion of the image was compressed to give the perspective of distance.
- The Distort > Spherize filter gave the curved effect.
- The toned sky was made with the Graduate Tool and the resulting layer placed above the cracked earth in order to tone the earth as well as the sky.
- The sun was made with round Elliptical Marquee Tool, feathered and filled with red.
